About the Director Business Development Role

We are looking for a Director Business Development to grow, cultivate, and manage an account portfolio of large healthcare systems, medical groups and telehealth customers. For this role, an ability to develop business relationships with C-Suite and VP-level executives within our market is essential. This includes chief executive officers, chief medical officers, chief operating officers, and department heads. However, this role also requires the ability to cultivate productive business relationships across all levels within our customer accounts. You should be results-driven and help us achieve our business goals, achieving revenue and long-term contract objectives by effectively cultivating and managing new and existing accounts (aka “hunting and farming”).

What You'll Do

  • Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities

  • Set and monitor sales targets on a monthly basis

  • Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing customers

  • Develop strong and long-term client relationships

  • Collaborate w/ Hyr internal teams, specifically the product team, to meet/exceed client needs

  • Resolve issues and handle complaints quickly and effectively

  • Maximize client contracting structure and negotiate contracts and close agreements

  • Be able to operate independently during the early stages of the sales process

  • Get feedback and suggest ways to promote and drive enhanced customer engagement

  • Assist with development of new sales channel and models (ex. SaaS business model)

Qualifications

  • Startup experience, sales experience, healthcare experience

  • 5+ years in sales or related field, preferably to and with healthcare organizations

  • Manage Pipedrive CRM system data on an ongoing basis

  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT)

  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

  • Excellent communication and team management skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills

  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude

  • Bachelors or higher degree in a relevant field

  • Critical candidate attributes: resilient, resourceful, positive, outgoing, organized

Compensation

  • Combination of equity, salary and net revenue-based commission

  • Equity – 1% of current outstanding shares w/ 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff

  • Salary - $36,000/year

  • Commission - 30% of monthly net revenue (on all “primary” deals)

  • Post Series Seed II financing round, some flexibility w/ above based on performance
